As a real estate investor, it’s important to have an online presence that represents you and your company in a professional manner. Information about your company should be easy to find and it’s in the details that matter.

Everyone does their research online these days. From reviews to phone numbers to directions, information is in the palm of our hands and we want instant gratification.

This means that you have a VERY small window to impress your sellers when they’re researching who to sell their home to.

On your website, you need to be able to quickly and concisely explain your background, how you can help them, and how they can contact you.

Other small details that make a difference are testimonials, case studies in markets you’re investing in, information about your family, etc. Let them get to know you so they feel more comfortable reaching out to you!

Once you have your site ready, it needs to be able to be found!

Sounds easy?

Not quite.

Your site needs to have appropriate keywords, meta data, and a bunch of other small details that will help your SEO so that ideally, you’re on the first page of Google searches when someone is searching for someone to buy their house in that particular market.

There are SEO experts out there that can help with this, but a critical part of getting your brand in front of people who are looking for an investor just like you.

On social media, make every post count!

First off, don’t post anything that would make people question your ethics or professionalism. Even if it’s your personal social media page, people will search for you on all platforms and you want to reinforce your brand, not tear it down.

While you’re working, go live and show people a glimpse into your business.

Show before and after photos of houses you’ve rehabbed.

Share testimonials as they come in!

Social media is powerful and you can use it to help your business if you take the time to think through what makes sense to show!

When closing on a property, consider how you can give a small gift to the seller so they without a doubt, don’t forget you.

Don’t be afraid to go the extra mile.

A small gesture can make a huge impact on their lives.
