Joe: I’m going to give you quick three tips that helped me as an early on investor. One, what we do is exciting. So when you ask someone for money make sure your passion comes through.

Number two, make sure you look professional. You’re asking someone for a lot of money. Whether it’s $10,000 or $1 million, that is a lot of money for them to be handing over. So make sure you look professional and feel professional with your documents and your pitch materials.

And the biggest tip of all is if you don’t ask, you will never ever get any money. So open up your mouth and say, “Can I have some money?” Don’t say it like that.
