Mike: Welcome back to the FlipNerd.com REI classroom, where experts from across the real estate investing industry teach you quick lessons to take your business to the next level. And now, let’s meet today’s expert host.

Dmitri: Hello and welcome to the REI classroom. My name is Dmitriy Fomichenko and today I’m going to be your host. And the topic of today’s show is how to grow your business with the right prospects.

Dmitri: So if you’re in business for yourself and you’re wondering how can you grow your business, I’m just going to talk to you about my own experience when I started my business about six years ago. I basically tried to compile all the lists that I possibly have, that I could get ahold of. I started doing some email marketing and basically, I started with emailing to people that I knew. Just some information about what I do. And what I learned is that instead of focusing on growing the size of your list, what you want to do is focus on the quality of your list.

Because some of the people that I was sending my email to, they were not interested in what I have to offer and that resulted in some of the unsubscribing from my list. Some of them even marked my emails as spam. So you don’t want to do that. And so what I learned over time is that the same time I was active in the community networking, both in-person as well as online. And FlipNerd is a great platform to do that. You can just create a lot of friendships and just develop making new contacts using the FlipNerd platform. So take advantage of this opportunity and just connect with people and focus on just following up and delivering your message to those people that are potentially interested in what you have to offer.

If you’re going to do that, you’re going to see, you’re going to have less headache, the quality of the message is probably better. You’re going to have less unsubscribe. You’re not going to be marked as spam because you’re going to deliver the message to people that want to hear from you, your potential clients of potentially interested in what you have to offer. My results increased significantly once I understood this. I just changed my focus and made that shift and made that adjustment. I’m sure it will help you as well. This is my tip for the day.

Again, focus on the right people and the right prospects and instead of just focusing on everybody else. In other words, do targeted marketing. Again, for those people that you actually came in contact with, if you’re going to do that, it’s going to help your business. That’s my tip for today.
