Mike Hambright: Hey, it’s Mike Hambright from FlipNerd.com and we have a quick VIP tip to share with you from Matt and Greg Sneyd from Move Group about the importance of surrounding yourself with successful others.
Greg Sneyd: One of the things that we wish that we had done a lot earlier in our real estate career is connecting with a lot of smart people both locally and nationally. You can do that through the local real estate clubs and there’s a certain level of expertise there that you get from those relationships, but more recently we’ve got involved with two groups nationally that we meet with once a quarter, and these are people that are extremely successful and extremely intelligent. We develop relationships with them and we learn from them when we meet face to face and then after the fact as well.
Matt Sneyd: Yeah, like Greg said, there was a couple of tiers and the first tier is real estate clubs. You want to get to know the players in that as quickly as possible and I, like I joined to be on the Board of Directors for the real estate club very quickly so that I was contributing and getting to know the people very well, very quickly. The next level is going to your national seminars and some of the best relationships we’ve had was like we picked and chose a couple of people there that we really connected with that were big players, and we kept relationships with them for the last eight years.
The next level, I think, after that was also nationally, but mastermind groups and so the quicker… and mastermind groups are really, really top-
notch guys that you have to work your way in to get to those people, but the quicker you get there the better, and I think that’s a key point is the speed at which you find and weed out the players from the non-players.
Mike Hambright: Awesome guys.
Greg Sneyd: And keep in mind that there’s going to be a bit of a cost to that.
Matt Sneyd: Yeah.
Greg Sneyd: You know, you’ve always got to be investing money in ways of building those relationships. So, don’t be afraid to spend a little money because it’ll pay back many times over.
Mike Hambright: Thank you for joining us for another FlipNerd VIP tip.
