Flip Tip Transcript:

Mike: Hey it’s Mike Hambright from FlipNerd.com and we have a quick VIP tip to share with you from Jesse Garcia, the CEO of Pipeline Wizard, who’s going to share a tip on why planning for the year ahead should start today.
Jesse: Thank you Mike. What we talked about earlier is a great tip for you is check out The1Thing.com, and that’s T-H-E the number one T-H-I-N-G dot com, and it has a lot of great resources on there for goal planning, and in the real estate industry, and for business planning, what we do today is going to affect our results 60, 90, 120 days out. So for the most part 2015, or 2014 is over. What we’re doing today is for 2015 first quarter, and so really fine tune your goals, and start setting them, and putting pen to paper because that triggers things in your brain to actually realize that they’re real. I’ve got to accomplish those, I’m making a commitment to make those happen, and so there are a lot of resources on that website, and that website’s just from the book “The One Thing” from Gary Keller and Jay Papasan. So the tip is use those resources, go through the one, three, five, plan a big goal. Whether it’s for, and you could do separate one three five’s for every individual aspect of your life, business, finances, health, relationships, anything, and go through, and go here’s my one goal, here are the three priorities that I need to do to achieve those goals, and here’s the five strategies for each of those priorities that is going to help me achieve that one goal, and it helps keep you focused on what you need to be doing in that aspect or area of your life to accomplish it.
Mike: Yeah that’s great. They say, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Right?
Jesse: Yeah, well it’s your road map, it’s your GPS, if you’re driving somewhere you didn’t know where you’re going you’re going to put it into Google Maps on your phone and follow what it says. You’re not going to go, “Well I’ve never been here before but you know let me go ahead and I can probably figure out a different way to get there.” It’s just…If you don’t know where you’re going and you’ve never been there ask for help, see who’s doing it, get people on board, and so what we talked about earlier, once you write your goals out share them with people, don’t be afraid to share them with people. If sharing it with other people scares you that’s good.
